Perception of reality
I, Femke van Dam, like to guide you through my perception of reality.
Geography and History of a place are the sources of my work as an artist. I use the landscape, natural materials, found objects to tell the story of that place.
I make art on location, also abroad, and in the Garden of Time in Bunne (NL).
It is spatial art on the crossing of Land Art and Situationism, using the landscape and the existing spatial environment as bearer.
My additions to the surroundings are mostly temporarily: ephemeral art, that does not load the earth with their presence.
